2017 Stewart Father's Day Powwow

Celebrate Father’s Day Weekend with the entire family and experience American Indian heritage, history and pride at the Stewart Father’s Day Powwow!  The former Stewart Indian School will come alive with over 200 dancers, over 25 arts and crafts vendors, Indian Tacos, and Admission is FREE!  The Stewart Father’s Day Powwow benefits the establishment of the Stewart Indian School Cultural Center.

The Annual Stewart Father’s Day Powwow was named the 2015 Event of the Year by the Carson City Chamber of Commerce.

~ Free admission – OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
~ Dry camping is available in designated areas only (call for more information); if in an undesignated area, you will be asked to move
~ Indian taco booths for the 2017 Stewart Father’s Day Powwow are full. Other food vendors may still apply.
~ Please bring your own chairs

Set up for shade tents begins Friday morning at 8:00 am (with no exceptions)

~ Stewart Alumni Reception to take place Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the Carson City Plaza Events Center
~ Competition Dancing (must be in full regalia to accept award)
~ Raffle and 50/50
~ Arts & craft vendors
~ Special events and exhibits
~ Gourd Dancing Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
~ 5k Color Fun Run, Saturday , June 17, 2017
